Quality External Teamlead

The Quality External Teamlead builds, leads and develops a team of quality professionals to ensure that suppliers meet the necessary quality standards and regulatory requirements. You play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and safety of products acquired from external suppliers, thereby contributing to DORC’s mission of delivering high-quality medical products to the market.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Participate in strategic company projects related to Quality
  • Own, maintain and improve the QMS processes that are managed by the External Quality team
  • Ensure that quality control processes are designed, implemented and maintained in a compliant, cost-efficient and effective manner and are subject to continuous improvement
  • Ensure that suppliers used by the company have the capabilities to meet company requirements and are selected, qualified, evaluated and maintained according to internal procedures
  • Ensure that protocols, reports and records created as part of product and process development as well as changes in products and processes are critically and independently reviewed for content and compliance
  • Ensure that non-conforming products are timely blocked in the ERP system and only released after QA review and approval
  • Support stakeholders in resolving product quality and/or process quality issues observed in product development, manufacturing and/or supplied materials/components
  • Ensure timely escalation and resolution of quality or compliance concerns
    Lead, direct and develop the External Quality team members

Skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Bachelor Degree (or equivalent ability) in a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior Quality Assurance role within a regulated industry (preferably medical devices)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience leading a team of direct reports
  • Qualification in Quality Assurance (e.g. Six Sigma, Lean)
  • Solid understanding of quality requirements and expectations set by major regulatory frameworks
  • Relevant experience in managing and overseeing quality engineering aspects in product development, production and supplier management
  • Ability to effectively translate quality requirements into practical directions for the organization
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Advanced level in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to multi-task and methodically manage projects based on business priorities and resource availability
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends and implement data-driven decisions
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Collaborates effectively across a diverse network of strong personalities
  • Open-minded for improvement opportunities and change, striving for best-in-class compliance performance
  • High level of integrity and ethical standards
  • Actively lives and promotes the Corporate Values
