Your responsibilities

Implement and develop digitalization systems within production, ensuring alignment between operations, IT and stakeholders

o Act as the voice of production in digitalization projects and software changes, aligned with the software change process

o Serve as key user and enable effective use through support, training and knowledge transfer

o Identify risks, costs and improvement opportunities, and support validation activities
Optimize digital systems and drive continuous improvement in production
o Analyse processes, system performance and user feedback to identify and implement improvements
o Evaluate and prioritize user feedback and optimization requests
o Provide first-line support, manage IT tickets and ensure effective follow-up
o Contribute to harmonization across sites and collaborate with global IT and Manufacturing Engineering by providing data on benefits and costs to support decision-making
o Support the reduction of manufacturing costs through the development and improvement of digital tools
Develop and manage master data at product level
o Define and implement master data concepts in collaboration with IT and relevant departments
o Communicate requirements for new products and support implementation within operations
o Ensure alignment and knowledge transfer of master data within the organization

Your environment
You will be part of DORC in Zuidland, a ZEISS company, operating in a high-tech, highly regulated medical device manufacturing environment. 

The role sits at the interface between production and IT, where systems, data and processes support daily operations and continuous improvement. Collaboration spans Production, IT, Manufacturing Engineering and Finance, with close interaction across ZEISS manufacturing sites worldwide. 

Your profile
A technically strong and analytically minded engineer with a clear affinity for digitalization, data and production processes.
Comfortable operating at the interface between production and IT, translating operational needs into practical digital solutions that improve system usability and process performance. 
Independent and proactive, with the ability to drive implementation, optimization and user adoption in a structured and hands-on way. Able to navigate across functions and stakeholders while balancing technical requirements, usability and business needs.

You have

  • A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering or a related technical field
  • Minimal 3 years of experience in a relevant role within a manufacturing or production environment
  • Experience with ICT and ERP systems used in production environments, including MS Office
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools and methods, such as Power BI, Tableau or Celonis
  • Knowledge of digital technologies and trends such as cloud computing, big data and low-code platforms
  • Experience with software validation (GAMP5)
  • Experience with process optimization and project-based work
  • Fluency in Dutch and English

Employment conditions
The employment conditions reflect the level of responsibility associated with this position.

  • Annual gross salary between €4.654,11 and €5.819,92 depending on experience and background.
  • 27 vacation and 13 adv-days based on full-time employment.
  • 8% holiday allowance
